Changing Supported Service Packs

When PROLIN Smart Client starts, it automatically checks the service pack version of the connected Service Desk server.

If the server’s service pack is not already supported by the client (i.e., support files are not present locally), a Service Pack Configuration screen will appear during startup.

If You Do Not Want to Install Additional Service Pack Support:

  • 🔙 Click Back to return to the login screen and select a different server.
  • ❌ Click Cancel to exit the Smart Client startup process.

To Proceed with Installation of Support Files:

  • ▶️ Click Continue to download and install the necessary Service Desk service pack support files.
  • Once installed, the login screen will appear again.
  • Enter your login information and click Start to continue.

Additional Notes

  • Service pack support files are installed only once per version.
  • After installation, PROLIN Smart Client will automatically detect and use the correct service pack for any future connections.
  • If the service pack is not currently supported, a notification screen will appear.
